Our Story
Founders
The founders, Harisharan and Thilak Chakaravarthi are both students of Joint-Masters in Medical Technologies of AIIMS Jodhpur and IIT Jodhpur.
Their successful collaboration in entrepreneurship workshops and competitions demonstrated their potential as a powerful team, combining medical knowledge with technological innovation.
Personal Problem
In the cold winters of Jodhpur, Harisharan always had trouble breathing with his deviated nasal septum and would use nasal drops 4-6 times a day. He is also prone to catch infections and tonsilitis because of this condition.
He understood that there are many people who suffer from the condition similarly, thus motivating him to find a solution that could improve quality of life for countless individuals facing similar challenges.
Origin
In a forum of seniors and juniors amongst Medical Technologies Program, Harisharan presented the problem statement for the first time. It instantly grabbed the attention of Thilak Chakaravarthi, who recommended Hari – That he should continue to work on the problem statement. They worked together for National Bio Entrepreneurship Competition (NBEC) 2022 and won in Medical Device category.
That gave them the confidence to establish “Caldor Health Technologies Private Limited” and begin their entrepreneurial journey with purpose and passion.
Discovery
The team worked on various properties of nasal cartilage and discovered that Temperature Controlled Radiofrequency had great efficiency in cartilage reshaping through ex-vivo goat septal cartilage studies.
This groundbreaking approach opened new possibilities for treating nasal conditions with minimal invasiveness and maximum effectiveness.
